主任医师、儿科学博士、教授、学术型和临床专业型硕士生导师。中国医学救援协会儿童意外伤害专业委员会副主任委员，中国医师协会新生儿科医师分会委员（第一至第四届）。江苏省临床医学重点专科和江苏省妇幼保健重点学科学科带头人。主持或参与各级科研项目10余项。省医学新技术引进奖一等奖1项、二等奖2项，市级医学新技术引进奖一等奖2项、二等奖5项，省、市级科技进步奖6项。发表学术论文160余篇，其中以第一或通讯作者发表论著100余篇（SCI收录期刊20篇，中华系列15篇）。主编或参编医学专著8部。
