The college held a meeting to advance the employment work for the 2024 graduates

The college held a meeting in the lecture hall on the 9th floor of Building 19 to advance the employment work for the 2024 graduates on the afternoon of May 28. The meeting was attended by all members of the college’s graduate employment leadership group, all senior class teachers, and all employment counselors. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zuo Hongmei.

The meeting began with a study and transmission of the spirit of this year's university-wide employment advancement meeting for graduates. Li Danyang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee (and Director of the Student Affairs Office), reported on the current employment status of the college’s 2024 graduates and related measures to promote employment work.

Vice President Yan Bingchun emphasized the importance of thoroughly understanding the situation of unemployed students. He noted that class teachers, mentors, and counselors should recommend suitable positions, address each student's practical difficulties, and ensure that no student's questions go unanswered.

Deputy Secretary Zuo Hongmei stressed that the entire college must attach great importance to graduate employment work, as it concerns the school, the college, families, and society. It is also crucial to understand the students and provide tailored guidance and services based on the professional characteristics of each department.

President Qian Li pointed out that employment work requires the concerted efforts of leaders, mentors, and counselors. Employment reflects the quality and standards of the school’s education and is a critical indicator for building top-tier programs. Employment holds significant importance for the college’s discipline construction, and she reminded all graduates to seize the prime employment period to promote high-quality and sufficient employment.

Secretary of the Party Committee, Wang Qinglin, put forward three requirements for doing a good job in graduate employment work: First, emphasize the political and livelihood attributes of employment work, requiring each department to elevate their political stance and fully recognize the importance and urgency of employment work. Second, increase the publicity of employment policies to ensure that graduates are fully aware of the national and school employment policies. Third, strengthen connections and cooperation with employers, actively expand employment channels, provide precise employment guidance and support, and offer personalized employment services to implement the college’s employment work thoroughly and meticulously.
