On May 18th, 2024, the "Green · Rising" Physiology Symposium and the Joint Conference of the Jiangsu Provincial Society of Physiology for Youth Academic, Teaching, and Science Popularization were grandly held at our institution. The conference, jointly organized by the Youth Committee, Teaching Committee, and Science Popularization Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Society of Physiology, was hosted by Yangzhou University, with over 100 participants including members of the society and faculty members from medical colleges. Chairman Zhu Jingning of the society delivered the opening speech, and Secretary of the Party Committee Wang Qinglin extended a warm welcome. The opening ceremony was chaired by Secretary-General Hu Zhigang of the society. Chairman Zhu Jingning warmly welcomed the teachers and students attending the conference and expressed gratitude to Yangzhou University for its support. Secretary Wang Qinglin congratulated the convening of the conference on behalf of the institution and warmly welcomed all the guests and attendees.

The conference consisted of three sessions: youth academic exchange, science popularization fitness lectures, and a competition for young teachers in physiology teaching. In the youth academic exchange session, invited guest Professor Fu Xiaolong from Shandong First Medical University and six outstanding young scholars from the society shared exciting academic reports. Our faculty members, Li Hongliang and Zhang Shengzhe, respectively won the first and second prizes for youth academic reports. Professor Sun Biao from Nanjing Sport Institute then delivered a knowledge-filled and entertaining science popularization lecture. In the teaching competition session, 12 frontline physiology teachers competed on the same stage, showcasing their teaching skills and presenting innovative physiology courses. Our faculty member, Professor Fang Xiao, won the top prize in the competition.

The successful convening of this conference effectively enhanced academic exchanges in the field of physiology, showcased the research achievements of young scholars in this field, exchanged teaching skills, imparted popular science knowledge about physiology and life, and promoted innovative development in research and teaching in the field of physiology.
