The 2023 Plenary Committee and Academic Annual Meeting of the Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on November 16-18. The meeting announced the results of the 2023 "Medical Education Teaching Reform and Research Project" and the results of the "Medical Education Teaching Achievements" solicitation activity of the Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Yangzhou university was awarded the honorary commendation of "2023 High-quality Medical Education and Research Universities" jointly issued by the Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the National Medical Education Development Center, and a total of ten medical colleges and universities across the country won this honor. A number of research projects of our university have been approved, and the specific results will be announced by the society later.

【About the Chinese Medical Association Medical Education Branch】

The Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the National Medical Education Development Center apply for medical education research projects for medical colleges and universities across the country, and are organized and carried out once every two years. The project aims to solve the major theoretical and practical problems in the reform, development and construction of medical education in China, deepen the reform of medical education and teaching, highlight applied and empirical research, promote the innovation and development of medical education, and support the development and promotion of research results.

A total of 1032 projects from 135 medical colleges and universities were declared this year, and after the preliminary evaluation, correspondence evaluation and conference evaluation, 50 key topics were determined, with a project approval rate of less than 5%.

The honor is an affirmation of the high-quality medical education and research work of our university over the years, and it is also an incentive for the majority of teachers to carry out teaching research and reform. The school will closely focus on the goal of "new medical science", further strengthen the overall planning and management of medical science, continuously promote the innovation and development of medical education, and promote the construction of medical curriculum resources, teaching reform and research, and the overall improvement of teachers' teaching development level.
