From September 18 to 19, 2023, the first Jiangsu Province TCM Physician Standardized Training Practical Skills Competition was successfully held in Nanjing. Four students, He Jali, Wu Su, Zhang Chengcheng and Zou Chen, who graduated from the Department of Integrative Medicine of Yangzhou University School of Medicine, participated as official team members, and Jin Wei as a substitute team member on behalf of Yangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the training base of our university.

The competition includes clinical knowledge competition, simulated outpatient patient reception, Chinese medicine characteristic skill operation, Chinese medicine formula recognition ability, and Western medicine clinical skill operation. After intense competition, four students from our school won the second prize in the team with the second best overall score.

This competition showcased the solid basic skills and good professional qualities of graduate students majoring in traditional Chinese medicine at the Medical College, further boosting their passion for traditional Chinese medicine and their solid skills in traditional Chinese medicine. It also enhanced the cohesion and combat effectiveness of graduate students at the Medical College. Next, the Department of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine at the Medical College will continue to strengthen its close connection with the standardized training base, enhance the theoretical knowledge level and practical operation ability of standardized trainees, and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality professional degree graduate students.
