In recent years, this department has undertaken more than 20 scientific research projects, with scientific research funds of more than 1 million yuan. In addition, six achievements have been awarded the national patent, jiangsu provincial government, jiangsu provincial administration of traditional Chinese medicine and yangzhou science and technology progress award.

The teaching and experimental center of basic medicine and clinical medicine of this major has a total construction area of about 3,000 square meters and is worth more than 10 million yuan, which can be used for undergraduate teaching of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine. There are classrooms suitable for students of this major and the herbarium with distinctive characteristics.
